Toyota Lanka Warmly Welcomes Mr. Tetsuya Ezumi, the Executive Officer of Toyota Tsusho Corporation to Sri Lanka today the 14th of January 2019

Mr. Ezumi is the Division Officer of Automotive Division and Senior General Manager of Toyota SBU. He is also responsible for Americas and Europe Automotive Department, Asia, Oceania and Middle East Automotive Department.

Recalling the History of Mr. Ezumi, he first Joined Toyota Motors in 1985 with a Post in the Purchasing Department. Then from 1993 to 1994 he was assigned to work for Toyota Australia and he was transferred to the Oceania Subsidiary of Toyota Motors as in charge of the Australian Market. From 2000 to 2003, he worked as the Head of Marketing Department Toyota Australia.

During his visit to Toyota Lanka he will observe the Wattala Head Office Facility. Apart from this he will be visiting the Mahara CPD site which is a major ongoing project of Toyota Lanka.

This marked the beginning of a new business venture for Toyota Lanka as the company embarked on the journey in importing certified Toyota vehicles from Toyota Motor Corporation Japan. All the vehicles purchased from Toyota Sure will carry a Toyota Lanka warranty that gives peace of mind to the customers and access to a world class after- sales service from Toyota Lanka.

Addressing the gathering the Management thanked all the customers for their loyalty and continued trust in Toyota Lanka & product offerings over the years.

The occasion concluded with the delivering of vehicles to the very first customers of Toyota Sure. Currently Toyota Sure offers the models such as Toyota Premio, C-HR, Axio, Vitz and will continue to expand the model range to meet the needs of the Sri Lankan customers.

Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited AGM for the financial year 2017/18.

Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) General Manager Mr. Mitsuyoshi Okutusu along with a team of TTC/TTAP delegates visited Toyota Lanka today the 9th of August 2018. They visited Toyota Lanka Rathmalana branch in the morning and visited Toyota Lanka Wattala Headquarters to attend the Annual General Meeting for the financial year 2017/18.

The delegates will be visiting Toyota Lanka Matara branch and Galle branch tomorrow (10th August 2018) for the purpose of market observation.

Among the many Buddhist Temples in Sri Lanka, the Kelani Raja Maha Viharaya stands out as one of the most historic, revered & exquisite of Sri Lanka . Its history runs back more than 2500 years. The Honored Guests received a personal guided tour of from the current Deputy Chief Incumbent Ven. Dr. Deniyaye Pannaloka Buddharakkhit.

Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) has successfully secured a contract with Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) of Japan to build two vessels; Pilot Station Vessel and Buoy Tender Vessel, for General Company for Port of Iraq (GCPI).

TTC and GCPI signed the prime contract on 27 April, 2018 in Dubai. Subsequent to the signing of the prime contract, TTC signed the sub contract agreement with CDPLC as TTC’s preferred shipyard for the construction of these vessels on 2 May, 2018 in Japan.

TTC is a trading and investing company which is also a group company of Toyota. By recognising the potential of CDPLC, TTC decided to collaborate with CDPLC for this project to compete and submit bid proposals in response to a tender floated by GCPI in July, 2017. After the selection of the bid proposal submitted by TTC in collaboration with CDPLC, there were contract negotiation meetings in Basrah, Iraq, and in Colombo, Sri Lanka. These negotiations and discussions were able to strengthen the relationship between the parties to enter in to a successful contract.

During their visit to Toyota Lanka Ratmalana , Chairman of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Mr. Jun Karube  & President of Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific Pte Ltd – Mr. Hideki Yanase observed the General Service Operations and the growing Body and Paint Shop Operations ( Accident Repair) along with best in town customer amenities that were on offer which included the Customer Cinema Lounge, Vip Customer Resting Area and customer valet parking service.
