Toyota Lanka Auto Academy Shares Sri Lankan Technical Expertise Across 09 Asian Countries
Toyota Lanka Auto Academy continues to make a valuable contribution to Sri Lanka’s automotive industry by developing skilled technical professionals, strengthening local training capabilities, and sharing Sri Lankan expertise across the region. Having delivered specialized training programs for participants from nine Asian countries, the Academy reflects the nation’s growing capability in regional automotive technical education.
As part of this commitment, the Toyota Lanka Auto Academy recently conducted a comprehensive two-week Body and Paint Repair Instructor Training Program from 13th to 24th July 2026 for instructors from Brunei and Cambodia.
A key value of this program lies in its train-the-trainer approach. The participating instructors gained advanced technical knowledge and practical expertise at the Toyota Lanka Auto Academy, which they will take back to their respective countries to train and develop technicians, extending the impact of the program across their local service networks.
In line with Toyota’s ANZEN philosophy, which places safety first, all training activities were conducted with a strong emphasis on safe working practices, proper repair procedures, and maintaining the highest standards throughout every session.
The sessions were conducted by Toyota Motor Corporation-certified training instructors: Mr. Prabath Wickramathunga – Unit Head, Technical Training and Mr. Gayan Perera – Assistant Manager, Technical Training.
Through initiatives of this nature, the Toyota Lanka Auto Academy continues to strengthen Sri Lanka’s technical knowledge base while supporting the development of skilled instructors and technicians across Asia.
