TyreZone by Toyota Lanka proudly opened its third branch in Ratnapura on January 23rd, 2025, bringing premium tyre brands and expert care to the community. The event was graced by Mr. Vipul Bandara (General Manager – Auto Value Enhancements) and Mr. Damsitha Hettiarachchi (Tencho – Toyota Lanka, Ratnapura Branch) from Toyota Lanka.

On 2nd July 2024, Toyota Lanka held its Annual Business Strategy Conference, Prep Rally 2024, at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, focusing on presenting the VISION 2030 of Toyota Lanka. This year’s theme was “TQM Linked Strategy Development for Operational Excellence.” The conference welcomed seven visitors from Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Japan and Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific Singapore, alongside Toyota Lanka Top Management and managers. Toyota Lanka department heads shared their yearly Hoshin Kanri with the attendees. The event concluded with an afterparty and evening dinner, celebrating the fellowship of all members.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of TMC Honorary Chairman Shoichiro Toyoda. A visionary and energetic leader, Shoichiro San significantly supported our Asia region, leaving a legacy across all our entities. His passion and spirit epitomized Toyota leadership. On March 28, 2023, Toyota Lanka held its 15th Annual Dealer Convention at Shangri-La Resort & Spa, Hambantota, honoring 300 authorized partners. The event, themed “Faster. Stronger. Forward.”, recognized exceptional sales performance for 2022/2023. Chairman Mr. Sachio Yotsukura and MD/CEO Mr. Manohara Atukorala presented awards and cash rewards in six categories. Highlights included Auto World winning Best Performer, Sterling Automobiles as Runner Up, and Auto Miraj Group topping the Service Chain category. Toyota Lanka also launched the latest Toyota Genuine Motor Oil and introduced the new Accelera Tyres, known for their quality and affordability.

Toyota Lanka Team A claimed the championship at CMTA Masterminds 2023, outshining 16 teams from 9 motor companies. Held on March 21st at Colombo City Center, this victory highlights our team’s dedication and excellence. Congratulations to our champions!

On December 14, 2022, Toyota Lanka celebrated 70 years of Japan-Sri Lanka diplomatic relations by inaugurating a cutting-edge Fulfillment Center in Mahara. The $15 million facility, spanning 30,000 sq. meters, enhances island-wide dealer support, and optimizes the supply chain, boosting customer convenience. Equipped with a 13,000 sq. meter storage area, it houses genuine parts, lubricants, accessories, and over 300 vehicles. Highlighted as South Asia’s model center, it features multi-mode delivery and digital inventory systems. The event was graced by President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Japanese Ambassador Mizukoshi Hideaki, marking a significant milestone for Toyota Lanka.

In a significant gesture of solidarity, Toyota Lanka contributed to Sri Lanka’s battle against COVID-19 with a generous donation of vehicles worth 20 million rupees. Two Toyota Coaster buses were presented at the Presidential Secretariat Office, symbolizing Toyota’s commitment to supporting vital healthcare initiatives. These vehicles played pivotal roles in facilitating medical research and health promotion projects, serving as a tangible expression of Toyota Lanka’s dedication to community well-being. This initiative underscored Toyota’s ethos of corporate responsibility and reflected its unwavering support for the nation during those challenging times.

Toyota Lanka recently sponsored a state-of-the-art “Hybrid Technology Learning Room” for the Automobile Engineering Training Institute (AETI). In a ceremony attended by dignitaries including President Maithripala Sirisena and Japanese Ambassador Kenichi Suganuma, Director/COO Manohara Atukorala highlighted Toyota’s commitment to societal advancement. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and branded with informative posters on Toyota’s eco-friendly innovations, the learning room provides students with hands-on experience in hybrid technology. AETI’s automobile mechanics, electricians, and technicians now have access to practical learning opportunities, marking a significant stride towards enhancing automotive education in Sri Lanka.

Toyota Lanka proudly continues its tradition of honoring our nation’s heroes by partnering with “Ranaviru Real Star” for the 5th consecutive year. As a longstanding supporter of the event, Toyota Lanka awards one of its latest vehicles to the first runner-up annually.

In a memorable ceremony, our Managing Director, Mr. Yoshiaki Kato, handed over the key to the runner-up winner of Ranaviru Real Star Season 3, a reality TV show by the Ministry of Defense and National Television. The presentation, attended by Mr. Lakshman Hulugalle (Director General of the Media Centre for National Security) and distinguished guests from the Sri Lankan defense forces, also featured Toyota Lanka’s COO, Mr. Manohara Atukorala, and General Manager of Vehicle Sales, Mr. Eshan Coorey.
